Vintage Royal Albert Pink Rose Brown Foliage Teacup & Saucer – Cabbage Roses, Autumn Leaves, Gilt Trim, Bone China, England 1970s
A Royal Albert teacup and saucer in pink cabbage roses set against warm brown autumn-toned foliage on white bone china. The roses tumble in soft cluster around both pieces, with small ivory blossoms and brown rose buds threaded between the leaves, and the rim, foot, and curled handle all carry a 22K gilt line. The cup is a Crocus-shape variant with a low pedestal foot, the saucer scalloped around to the gilt edge.
Royal Albert, founded 1896 in Longton and holding the Royal Warrant since 1904, is the most-collected English bone-china teaware name of the post-war era. The pink-roses-on-brown-foliage register is a mid-century Royal Albert variant — the firm shifted away from purely green leaves through the 1960s and 70s to a warmer autumn-toned palette across several patterns. The base reads Royal Albert / Bone China / England in the firm's standard mark.
A cup-and-saucer for the Royal Albert collector, for the cottagecore / grandmillennial tea table, for the autumn / cosy-rose interior, or as a Mother's Day / bridal-shower gift.
