Vintage Royal Albert Pink Yellow Cabbage Rose Teacup & Saucer – Bouquet, Forget Me Nots, Gilt Trim, Bone China, England Cottagecore 1970s
A Royal Albert teacup and saucer with a cottage-rose bouquet — pink cabbage roses and yellow cabbage roses, small pink rosebuds, blue forget-me-nots, and ivory blossoms — laid across white bone china touched with the faintest pale-blue glow. The rim, scrolled handle, and pedestal foot all carry a 22K gilt line; the cup is Royal Albert's Crocus shape and the saucer follows a scalloped, gilt-edged rim.
Royal Albert, founded 1896 in Longton and holding the Royal Warrant since 1904, is the most-collected English bone-china teaware name of the post-war era. The base reads Royal Albert / Bone China / England in the firm's standard mark — the pattern itself is one of the cottage-rose registers in Royal Albert's wider Country Roses family but the named sub-pattern is not printed on the base. Pieces of this kind sit at the centre of the cottagecore / grandmillennial tea-shelf, alongside Royal Albert's named series (Lavender Rose, Sweet Romance, Memory Lane).
A cup-and-saucer for the Royal Albert collector, for the cottagecore / grandmillennial tea table, or as a Mother's Day / bridal-shower / spring-tea-hostess gift.
